Short

Specify is a commerce platform for businesses that can make more than their web store can list. Shoppers describe what they need, and the business decides what it can offer.

Long

Specify is a commerce platform for businesses that make to order. A shopper describes what they need in their own words. Specify turns that into a clear request, and the business checks it against what it can really make before any price or promise is given. The business stays in charge of every answer. Specify runs the whole store as well, from the catalogue to the checkout. It was founded by Theodor Guttesen and Michael Khazzoum, two software engineers who build it full time. Specify has no paying customers yet.

Using these files

• Use them when you write or talk about Specify or its founders, in print, on screen or in a broadcast. You do not need to ask first, and there is nothing to pay.
• Keep the mark as it is. You may resize it, but do not change its shape, colours or proportions, and do not combine it with another logo.
• Use each portrait only to show the person it portrays. You may crop it to fit your layout, but do not otherwise change it.
• Do not use any of the files in a way that suggests Specify supports you, a product or a cause. For any other use, write to the address above first.
• Using the files this way gives you permission, not ownership. We may ask you not to use them in future, but never to take down something already published.
• Until Specify is incorporated, the rights in these files are held by its two founders personally. The founders drew the portraits themselves.
